The Ashland Theatre is excited to partner with the Autism Society of Central Virginia to offer a Sensory Friendly movie showing!

Please join us on Saturday, June 14th for the live action remake of How to Train Your Dragon!

This sensory friendly program aims to make visiting the movie theatre a more enjoyable and overall more accommodating experience for children, teenagers and families with sensory needs.
For this event staff will turn the house lights up and turn the volume down. The number of tickets is limited as well so that some seats will be left open. This will make it more accessible for guests who may want to stand up, move around, step out, use electronic devices, or chat.
Please note that Sensory Friendly Showings will begin immediately at the scheduled showtime! There will be no trailers before the movie, so please be sure to arrive on time to avoid missing any of the film!

The beloved animated film comes to life!

On the rugged isle of Berk, a Viking boy named Hiccup defies centuries of tradition by befriending a dragon named Toothless. However, when an ancient threat emerges that endangers both species, Hiccup's friendship with Toothless becomes the key to forging a new future. Together, they must navigate the delicate path toward peace, soaring beyond the boundaries of their worlds and redefining what it means to be a hero and a leader.
