The Ashland Theatre is excited to partner with the Autism Society of Central Virginia to offer a Sensory Friendly movie showing! Please join us on Saturday, June 26th at 4PM for Smurfs!
This sensory friendly program aims to make visiting the movie theatre a more enjoyable and overall more accommodating experience for children, teenagers and families with sensory needs.
For this event staff will turn the house lights up and turn the volume down. The number of tickets is limited as well so that some seats will be left open. This will make it more accessible for guests who may want to stand up, move around, step out, use electronic devices, or chat.
Please note that Sensory Friendly Showings will begin immediately at the scheduled showtime! There will be no trailers before the movie, so please be sure to arrive on time to avoid missing any of the film!
